PSS Strategies - Development of strategies for designing and implementing sustainable Product-Servicesystems
Laufzeit: März 2004 bis November 2004
Based on a previous FdZ project it is intended to develop and implement strategies for sector specific sustainable product-servicesystems-innovations along product-chains in workshops with companies and other actors involved. Focus will be placed on implementation and possible restricting factors.
The project is funded by the programme factory of tomorrow from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation, and Technology.

Duration: March 2004-November 2004.
The project is funded by the programme factory of tomorrow from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation, and Technology.

SUSTAINABLE HOMESERVICES
„Nachhaltige Dienstleistungen für den Wohnungsmarkt in der Stadt der Zukunft“
The basic idea behind the Homeservices project is the notion that environmental burden can be reduced by replacing products with services that fulfil the same need of the consumer. Previous studies indicate that consumers must be able to use such services as easily or conveniently as the products they own themselves. The services should be offered to consumers at their homes.
Coming from this idea the definition of a Sustainable Homeservices is a service that is offered to residents at or near their home, directly or via an intermediary organisation, that contributes positively to sustainable development in its three dimensions: environment, society, and economy.
Homeservices by the Factory of Tomorrow
The Homeservice project focused on the supply side of shared use concepts and other sustainable services for consumers directly at apartment buildings (HOMESERVICES).
ECOSERVICES
Sustainable development will not be possible without a fundamental change in our economic thinking. In essence, what is required is not only an ecological approach to product-design, but also new marketing and consumption patterns for products which can satisfy our needs in an environmentally sound way.
Integrated Service Models for increased resource-efficiency in the commercial sector (INERIWI)
For the major resource intensive commercial sectors the actual function of the products will be analysed and ways elaborated how to provide the real function of the product without selling it.
The project is funded by the programme factory of tomorrow from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation, and Technology.
